As a mindset keynote speaker, Michael has always been driven by a desire to inspire and empower others to achieve their goals and aspirations. Born and raised in on Long Island, Michael was a natural leader, organizing events and projects that brought people together and made a positive impact on the community.
After graduating from the State University of New York at Buffalo, Michael began a successful career in the Financial Industry, rising through the ranks to become a respected and influential figure in the field. Michael has earned many awards throughout his career for client servicing and business development, including “Super Achiever” while employed by the Wilmington Trust Company, the “One Million Dollar Sales Club” and “Marketing Award” when with IBJ Whitehall Bank and Trust, and the “Million Dollar Trust Club” with the Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company. Michael was also recognized as one of Long Island’s “Top 25 Advocates for Latino Empowerment” and received the 2012 “Multicultural Award” from The Hispanic Network.
However, Michael always felt a pull to use his skills and knowledge to make a larger difference, and so he began to pursue a career as a public speaker. Following a harrowing 17-hour turmoil in which Michael’s kayak overturned, leaving him stranded in the choppy waters between Long Island and Connecticut overnight and through much of the next morning, Michael combines helping individuals achieve their goals and aspirations showing them how to incorporate the same skills he used to save his life.
Michael has traveled the world, sharing his message of hope, determination, and resilience with audiences of all sizes. He has spoken at conferences and corporate events on several critical topics always leaving a lasting impression on those who hear him speak. Michael has appeared on CBS’ “Live it Up!” show twice and has been asked to speak on many radio programs.
In addition to his work as a public speaker, Michael is also a dedicated philanthropist, working with various organizations to promote education, health, and social justice. Michael is very active in the community for example, serving as an adult leader with the Boy Scouts in Centerport, New York raising funds for many local non-profits and outreach efforts such as Operation BBQ Relief: Super Storm Sandy, Suffolk County PD Veterans, Wounded Warriors and co-founder of the non-profit Queing, for a Cause, Michael also served on the Board of Trustees for the New York City Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society from 2000 through 2010.
Michael is a true believer in the power of individuals to make a difference, and he works tirelessly to help others realize their own potential and achieve their dreams.
